Founded in 1982, the Uppsala International Short Film Festival has since become Sweden’s premier arena for short film, having attained both national recognition of the Swedish Film Institute and genuine international renown. In addition, the festival is the most important international cultural event in Uppsala. The festival is going to take place from the 13th till 17th of August 2009 on the arcadian site of the Braunshardter Taennchen. Attending filmmakers may camp in the forest, next to the festival area. Mainly short films of all genres, formats, and lenghts, but also long feature films and documentaries, can now apply for participation. We are looking for originality and viridity in form and content!
